How to Bring up the Prenuptial Agreement

“What’s mine is mine and what’s yours is mine.” You may have heard that little saying before and laughed, but if a couple ends up getting divorced later down the road, that funny saying could turn into reality and wreak havoc on your life as you know it.

You have discussed the wedding cake, found a Party Bus NYC will love, but have you talked about the nitty gritty?

Discussing a prenuptial agreement is not easy for everyone. It’s like discussing advance directives or funeral arrangements, you don’t necessarily want to talk about it, although it is necessary to handle it sooner than later.

Richard Carlson, and his wife Kristine Carlson wrote a book together after having being together for decades. They discussed a few very helpful techniques. They talk about having a heart to heart conversation to talk about things that mean a lot to each other or are just difficult to talk about.

This same heart to heart technique can be used to talk about a prenup. They recommend entering the conversation in gentle manner and maintaining a loving and receptive perception.

The same state can often be found after having worked out, or exhausting a lot of energy on something—but not to the point of exhaustion. For example, going kayaking, hiking, or other semi rigorous activities. Even shopping and walking a good bit can get someone in a calm mind set.

You can create the mood by going to an environment that promote peace.

Avoid talking about it right when you all wake up or just before you go to sleep. It’s just bad timing!

Don’t try to talk about it when you’re at the bachelor/bachelorette party cruising on an NYC Party Bus Rental. Trust me, they won’t remember the next day! Having a glass of wine or one drink could be helpful though.

Start the conversation by reminding them you love them.

How did you and your partner break the prenup ice? Leave tips for others in the comments!

Scoping out NYC for your Wedding

Visiting the most talked about city in the US can be daunting, I mean where do you start? You’ve probably read a billion articles on the best shopping outlets, restaurants, art galleries, museums, clubs, and the list goes on. But then things get a little more scrambled—do you take the metro? Snag some car service NYC frequently uses, or grab a taxi and hold on for dear life? NYC limousines are the way to go.

Why?

When you go somewhere you have never been before it’s always best to know someone who already lives there. But sometimes that is just not an option, but you can get the next best thing: a limo driver.

A limousine chauffeur is more than familiar with the surround area, after all it’s literally their job to know it. A part of their job that also comes naturally through time is knowing common traffic patterns and local attractions. They could tell you how this boring street comes to life at 10 pm when the music venue gets popular, or tell you the most romantic places he’s driven couples for their anniversaries; as well as the places that it’s best not to go if you’re not a local.

One thing they can tell you all about is wedding venues. Hitch a ride with a professional limousine driver that can let you stop and take a look until you find that perfect place to say “I Do.”

On the search:

Have some ideas or questions in your mind before you ride out to each one that way you can compare all the cons and pros later. A great way to do this is to record on your phone, things you liked about each venue or what could have been better.

Take pictures! Sometimes the memory fools us.

Better yet—bring pictures! Already know what your dress, cake, and centerpieces are going to look like, match it up on the spot.

What are some things you made sure to do when scoping out a NY wedding venue? Let us know in the comments!

A Limousine Service in NYC is not Just for the Wealthy

Let's face some facts here for a moment. How many of you have assumed a limousine service in NYC is simply just for the wealthy? That's one thing a lot of people have in common: assuming that a limousine service is too expensive for the average individual.

In reality, though, a limousine service in NYC is highly affordable

That is, with the right company. Not all companies are going to provide affordable limousine service throughout New York City. Some are going to charge a lot more than others, even though they may have the same exact type of vehicles, the same size fleet, and a relatively similar safety and on-time service record.

What you look for in a limousine service in NYC

One of the first things to look for is a large fleet of vehicles from which to choose. Smaller, startup companies only have one or two limousines in their fleet. This means they might have a tendency to overbook and show up to pick their fair up late. That can cause all sorts of problems.

You should also look at safety and reliability

A limousine service in NYC should hire only the safest, most experienced drivers and have the latest GPS navigation equipment installed on every vehicle. This helps to ensure you’ll arrive at your destination on time, almost every single time.

Comfort and luxury is also essential

When it comes to a quality limousine car service in NYC, the vehicle itself should be luxurious, clean, and comfortable. It should offer a smooth, quiet ride that allows you to relax, work, make phone calls, or just enjoy the scenery as it passes by.

These are just some of the reasons why those wealthy and powerful individuals call on a limousine service for their transportation needs. You can enjoy it too, because with the right company, it will also be affordable. In fact, when you calculate in the cost tolls, parking, and other expenses of driving yourself, you begin to realize just how affordable a limousine service in NYC can be.

So when you need a car service to JFK, you won’t have to worry about showing up at the terminal late, getting hung up trying to get through the security checkpoint, and missing your flight.

You can see the best sites in New York City and learn about its history

A highly knowledgeable and experienced chauffeur will be able to point out some of the best sites to visit, the history of New York City, and that can be a great way to get from the airport to your hotel or wherever else you need to go.

Plan a Bachelorette Party to Remember

Your friend is tying the knot pretty soon, and you want her to have the time of her life with her favorite girls before she enters the ‘not-single-anymore’ club. This calls for a bachelorette party she and the rest of the girls can reminiscence over for years to come.

If you’ve taken the responsibility of throwing the perfect hen party for your BFF, there’s a lot to plan and consider. First off, you need to start planning – RIGHT NOW! Not sure where to start? Allow us to help you with this planning guide.

STEP 1: Where’s the Party At?

First things first, you’ve got to decide the city where the party can take place. Whether you want to travel down the memory lane to where you and the bride-to-be grew up together, or think of some big city like, like may be NYC. It’s completely up to you. Pick a place that holds meaning for the soon to be bride, this will add a sentimental touch to the wild weekend of partying and fun.

STEP 2: Think of a Theme

Relaxing? Sophisticated? Partying all night? Whatever events you plan for the weekend have to conform to a theme. It helps you maintain cohesiveness in the activities you can plan, the places you can visit, and even the type of dining you prefer. Once you have the theme, you can use local NYC guides to help you pick out the places that should be in your itinerary.

STEP 3: Creating an Itinerary

Work out the finer details of your plan. The theme can help you narrow down your choices, now is the time to select, and finalize what makes it on to the list of things-to-do for the bachelorette weekend. It is at this point a great idea to keep in mind the personal preferences of the bride-to-be (as long as they don’t bore everyone to death!).

Once you have the itinerary make sure you make adequate bookings for your transportation. You will need a pick and drop service to and from the NYC airport; you will also need conveyance to get around the city – why not get a limo?

To hire one, get in touch with NY Limo Service. Dial 917.722.1119 for bookings and further details.

STEP 4: Send Out the Invitations

You have the basic details panned out, send out the invitations to the girls that you think should be a part of the celebrations. Attach a copy of the schedule so that they can plan their weekends in advance. Make sure you give them ample time to work out their schedules and join the party.

As a last step, ask the girls to pitch in fun ideas to make the weekend more fun. Smooth out the finer details of the weekend before you let the soon to be bride in on your plan.
